Welcome to the Canadian Active Service Force Living History Association (CASFLHA).

Whether you are an independent re-enactor or vehicle owner or someone wanting to get into re-enacting within Ontario/Quebec, we can offer you a place within CASFLHA. Our aim is to link together serious Second World War re-enactors to share experiences, knowledge and enjoyment of our hobby.

Most of our events are held in Eastern Ontario, where we display authentic artefacts from WW2. We also take part in authentic activities that would have been common with the Canadian Army of WW2 for an immersive experience.

About Us:

CASFLHA was formed in 2020 by re-enactors from all over Ontario, Quebec and the USA to cover three Canadian units. It started off as the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion, which remains the main focus. This was done with the permission of the 1st Canadian Parachute Battalion Association, who wanted us to continue to wear and display their uniforms and insignia so they would not be forgotten. A letter of permission from them can be found here. We also cover more local Eastern Ontario units of the 3rd Canadian Infantry Division who took part in the Northwest European Campaign and the 5th Canadian Armoured Division in the Italian Campaign.

We also have much experience in assisting in film and television productions, and will be happy to discuss how we can assist.
