In the Fall of 2018 I collected my Ford GPW 1943 from Owen Sounds, Ontario.

Terry helped make this possible by driving me there in his truck and towing it pack to Ottawa. It was a bumpy ride being late for the hotel and they wouldn't except us! I had to find a hotel at 1 am.

The first thing we started with was the blackout headlight made in 1942 by Butlers UK
Here is Clay McWhirter making a fine job of the switch out of the head light.

One problem solved. The light bracket had to be screwed to the top to ensure the correct clearance.
Blackout drive lights switched out to the wings to British vehicle standards.

Holes drilled and the wires extended and fitted under the fenders.

I started to remove all the bumperettes and grab handles and every item that was removed from the Jeep.

Getting the stencils on. Here is the Maroon backing for the Pegasus.
While working on the Jeep we noticed a slow leak from the head gasket, so we decided to change it.

We had an issue with the new gasket as it became clear the head of the engine needed re-machining.

Thanks to Adam Cooke for his help finding me a machine shop that would do it without me needing a mortgage.
Two weeks later and Adam was kind enough to drive down with my the engine head and helped Clay and I fit the second gasket.

New Gasket, new studs, new spark plugs. Now the new spark plugs blew the coil.. What a job finding this out!
Rifle clips added to cowl, Pegasus on the front bumper and the tac sign 57 added. Plenty more to do but she's almost finished!
